Forskningsnettet

NORDUnet3 is a four-year theme-based Internet research programme, that supports research in technologies which are essential for implementation and usage of the next generation of the internet.

The purpose of Nordunet3 is to support a number of research projects, to promote cooperation within Nordic Internet research and to enhance NORDUnet's national influence. 

NORDUnet3 is a joint programme of the Joint Committee of the Nordic Natural Science Research Counsils (NOS-N), NordForsk, the Nordic Counsil of Ministers and NORDUnet A/S.

The project ran from 2005 to 2008 and had a annual budget of  1 million EUR.

The research programme included the following areas: Fundamental research in network technologies, protocols, security and network services.
