Forskningsnettet

Forskningsnet•CERT receives notifications from persons who have been exposed to a security incident connected to Forskningsnettet.

It could be an attack on computers connected to Forskningsnettet or an attack originating from Forskningsnettet against others.

Forskningsnet•CERT acts as an intermediate and advisor in such cases.

The Incident Response service includes technical support in the handling of security related incidents, suggestions for solutions to the problems and warning against similar incidents to others that risk being exposed to the same incident. The parties' wish for anonymity and confidentiality is taken into consideration.

• Problem analysis: An analysis of the security problems, threat assesment and technical assistance in identifying and repairing weaknesses.
• Technical counseling: Warnings about security problems and precautions are issued in co-operation with other Incident Response Teams in the World.
• Coordination: Coordination with other Incident Response Teams in connection with incidents originating from Denmark or one or more places in the world.

When an institution connected to Forskningsnettet is exposed to a seciurity incident it can be reported to Forskningsnet•CERT.
