WAYF

WAYF (Where Are You From) is a new infrastructure that reuses personal IDs. Employees and students at universities and research institutions can now (re)use their existing usernames and passwords. It is no longer necessary to create new accounts for the different services on the Internet., and users hereby do not have to remember different usernames and passwords.

Before the information about the user is forewarded, the user accepts that it is passed on and thus has full controll about who will recieve the information.

The project started in 2005 and has funding untill the end of 2009.
